Inter Milan have completed the signing of midfielder Thiago Motta on a four-year contract from Genoa.
The move brings to an end a drawn-out transfer saga after the agreement was finalised several weeks ago.
Motta, 26, saw his career threatened by injury when at Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, but he impressed last season as Genoa finished in a surprising fifth place in Serie A.
Youth players Francesco Bolzoni, Leonardo Bonucci and Riccardo Meggiorini are also joining Genoa on a permanent basis as part of the complicated deal.
Argentina striker Diego Milito joined Inter from Genoa earlier in the week with former Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo moving in the other direction.
Italy Under 21 striker Robert Acquafresca also moved to Genoa from Inter but has been immediately sent to Atalanta for next season.
